Hello Everybody,

I hope you're doing well and finding ways to take care of yourself in addition to Mama Love. But I'm still here, restocking up this weekend, in fact, on what people seem to need most right now.

I do have an announcement to make. Etsy has made a change you might notice the next time you order from me. They will no longer allow me to add a package cost and handling fee to shipping—they want that added to the cost of items. So the prices you see in my shop are now $2.50-$3.00 higher BUT the shipping will be less by the same amount. So, it should work out—I just don't want you to be shocked! Okay?

This month's blog posts didn't wind up aligning with any particular theme. I mostly wanted to share some ideas about using flower essences from experience and experimentation and, February being the season of love, one post about sex, love and intimacy.

Happy Groundhog Day and Valentine’s Month!

Mama Love has been busy busy busy! That’s always true in January — New Year’s resolutions, I think — but this year way more than ever!

Some news: if you live in or near New York City, a shop called Warm NY is now carrying Mama Love there. They sell clothing and accessories for women, men and kids and also have a very nice sounding home and gift department. From their website: "Warm carries thoughtful, hard to find brands who pay attention to the little things that matter... craftsmanship, yummy fabrics, hand made details, small batches, capsule collections, family owned and oriented with an overall focus on being special and good.” They’re at 181 Mott Street, between Kenmare and Broome.

And a strange thing has helped me make a shift in what I offer. I’m discontinuing my semi-solid triple strength perfume balms (although I do have just a few last ones left at a reduced price) but I still really wanted to have a perfume strength offering for people who wanted something a little stronger than original Mama Love. A long time ago I got some 5 ml roller bottles that are perfect for applying a triple strength oil and I think I may even have announced that here. But if I did, I never mentioned it again because those rollers are so hard for me to get into the bottles that I’d moan every time I got an order. My original strength sells a lot better so I thought that I would just let that product offering fade away. Until last week! I just came across an inexpensive wooden lever — a silly thing really — that makes placing those rollers SO easy! 

Sooo I thought I’d let you all know that all my Mama Love formulas are available at triple strength, suitable for a healing perfume that you can carry with you in your purse and that won’t spill easily if you tip them over. I only have them in my Etsy shop right now because that is where I experiment with things. Some suggestions for Valentine’s Day?

"Open-Hearted Loving" is my favorite for the season of love! It is probably my most perfumey formula with Rose, Jasmine and Neroli, etc. And it works like an aphrodisiac in the old-fashioned sense of feeling like you’re in love. (Love Potion #9, anyone?) Great for loving yourself as well as other people.

Then there is "Attracting a Partner" formula which is really about feeling attractive from the inside out. That just happens to add to your ability to attract other people because feeling great about yourself is a really attractive thing. And this one just happens to be great for dry sensitive skin because of the Rose Geranium and jojoba oil I use in it. This has become my personal everyday after a shower oil for quite some time. I’ve always loved the scent and I love how it makes me feel.
