Hello Everyone!
This is a long email (so sorry) but we have a lot to share today! First you’ll find something about our spiritual counseling and healing practice. We haven’t been wanting to write anything about that for awhile but now it seems like time. Second, is an announcement of something really exciting from Mama Love! (Hooray!) So be sure to read down (or skip down if you’re so inclined) to read that. Thanks so much!
love,
Sheryl and Paul

DELIBERATE CREATION OR RE-CREATION (as the case might be). . .
We’ve been thinking about the issue of “deliberate creation” a lot lately. Has your belief about being able to deliberately create been shaken since the recent economic downturn? You’re not alone, that’s for sure, just judging from what I’ve been seeing on Facebook!
But let’s look at this. Some things have changed; some things have not. We’re still working with the same positive ability to create but what the manifestation might look like compared to in the past might have changed. Some people have told us they expect they will never work full-time again and they are bemoaning that fact. (They might be correct, but not necessarily.) However, let’s explore why this might be a positive stage in a person’s—and therefore, the planet’s—evolutionary process.
How does sadness, grief and loss affect people? Does it make you desperate or then angry? Then— again—you’re not alone! Look at this election with both the impact of Bernie Sanders on the left and Donald Trump on the right. It’s been like a meteor crashing. . .with the immediate impact reverberating—regardless of what happens, regardless of who actually “wins”—over time!
When that happens in your personal life (say, through a Great Recession), it is shocking. It might wake you up to greater truths and/or the serious nature of how the activity of our elected officials and greater forces affect you as an individual human on the planet. You can’t put that genie back in its bottle. Today you might say, “I don’t know how to change this!” But you, personally, do not have to. It’s the waking up of the collective, so to speak, that is in play.
So that’s my “political message” for the day. Let’s get back to the spiritual message of how you deliberately create in the aftermath of what feels like a devastating hit. How do you pick up the pieces and carry on? Well, maybe after you dust yourself off, you wind up doing something completely different than you were willing to entertain before, and that leads to new experiences that you would not have had, with new insights gleaned that will make your deliberate creation that much better!
Sometimes the most important work Paul and I have done as spiritual counselors has been to help people reframe their individual experiences in terms of a longer evolutionary world view. It’s human nature to want magical solutions. Well, so be it on occasion. But when what is needed is not an instantaneous magical intervention but a step by step transformation of even greater import. . . well, we need to be able to work with THAT! Sometimes what we think we’re here to do HAS to change before it gets better. Sometimes we have to go through a breakdown of what came before before we’re willing to stand up and say “No! This is what we REALLY want!” That’s the point when deliberate creation—that point when your experience forces your intention to become focussed and clear—can bring a greater manifestation than you were previously capable of to fruition.
In our spiritual counseling practice, Paul and I frequently use psychic insights to work with our clients. But what makes us happiest—and what seems to help people most—is when we can help shift a mindset, a belief system that is holding people back so they can make their own best decisions. The feedback we get is that working with issues over time with spiritual insight, step by step, can make the critical difference between a magical intervention that is contradicted almost as soon as a client leaves and a HEALING that reverberates over time. The best for all concerned—and that includes us, honestly. Because intending that kind of impact is why we got into this line of work in the first place and it’s the only kind of healing work we actually want to do.

NEW FROM MAMA LOVE: Introducing FLOWER & SPIRIT!!!!
Speaking of deliberate creation and re-creation. . . I just opened a second shop with a related but quite different orientation on Etsy called Flower & Spirit. (www.flowerandspirit.com)
I was first inspired by my interest in flower essences and my love of wonderful-smelling things to make my Mama Love formulas work like “medicine” but smell like perfume. It’s kind of like the friendship between the goddess Aphrodite and her best friend Hygiea. Aphrodite was the goddess of art, beauty, and love. Flowers grew where she walked and perfume was her delight. Her best friend was the potion-maker Hygiea, the goddess of emotional well-being and health. Hygeia's world-renowned elixers could lift you up if you were blue. But Aphrodite could take that state of well-being and raise it to the sublime.
Mama Love has always been the realm of Hygiea. Everything is intended to be safe enough to be used every day — 2-3 times a day—to help shift emotional patterns over time if desired but impactful enough for immediate temporary effects if that is preferred. But they’re not true perfume and when I raise the concentration of organic and sustainably wildcrafted essential oils to anywhere even close to true perfume I wind up with a product that is really way too expensive for Mama Love users with a cute Healer Mama package design that is completely inappropriate to entice perfume lovers at the same time.
So, from trial and error—and, shall I say, FAILURE—comes the phoenix rising from the ashes. Mama Love is continuing on, of course. Hygiea has her place and a strong enough following by herself. But as a single entity, my Healer Mama has been holding me back. Imagine a blue jean baby with an evening gown in her closet, a spiritual counselor and healer with a growing collection of the highest quality essential oils and other ingredients crying out to be true (much more highly concentrated) perfume.
The Flower & Spirit line is inspired by Aphrodite. Like Mama Love, ethereal flower essences combine with natural botanical essential oils, absolutes and extracts to envelop your senses, delight your spirit, and help you rest in the sweetness of life. But because they are made without synthetic (and downright dangerous) scent-boosters and extenders that most conventional perfumes depend on, these scents sink into your skin and combine with your natural body chemistry to create a unique aroma that stays close to your body to be enjoyed by you and those who come in close instead of having a dramatic impact on everyone in the room. (Expect to reapply it as a deliberate sensual experience later in the day.)
And, while my new perfumes do have positive emotional and spiritual impact, Flower & Spirit is about art, beauty and sensual delight FIRST and, primarily, about gifting. Gifting yourself, gifting others, enjoying life.
Come visit Flower & Spirit! (www.flowerandspirit.com). Yes, samples are available—you’ll find them on my site. And my products are available wholesale (click on the arrows on the left and right of the images to see what the packaging looks like so you’ll know if it will work for your store, small boutique, spa or salon). And come back to visit later, too, because I’m just getting started and plan to add a lot more.
